in the early days of January, I found myself in bed sleeping and one early morning around 3:00 a.m. I felt the Holy Spirit of God coming over me and I quickly awoke.
At that moment I knew God was impressing me to pray. In fact, God told me to get up because he wanted to talk with me, and immediately I got up and went to my office at home to hear the Lord's message.
As I listened, the Holy Spirit of God began speaking to me, and He spoke to me for a period of about two hours regarding two specific themes.
The two themes are:
- The Altar
- The revival in America
Now, I truly wish to share with you the details God gave to me in that early dawn.
The Altar
The Spirit of God took me to the Bible to 1 King 18: 30
Where Elijah said to the people of God, "Come near unto me and all the people came near unto him, and he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down"
Now, the Spirit of God began talking to me about this altar.
The Altar Existed:
I began to see that it was not that altar. That is, Elijah did not construct a new altar. No, he only repaired the altar that already existed.
Then I began thinking that what happened to God's people in Elijah's time is exactly what happens to many people in our times. It is not that there is no altar, but the present one does need to be in order or repaired.
The Ruined Altar:
The people of God in the time of Elijah were not a people who were apart from God, but they did have their mind divided in that they took the teachings of Baal (those who worshiped other gods) as normal or acceptable.
Because of their wavering, Elijah admonished the people in verse 18:21 saying, "How long will you waver between two opinions. If the Lord is God, follow him, but if Baal is God, follow him"
As the people looked to Baal and God there was confusion. Further, they dwelled in their own pleasures creating a forgotten altar, a ruined altar. A forgotten altar led them to forget about their God who had liberated them from an altar of slavery.
The people had not only forgotten the altar but also had forgotten about God who should be worshiped at the altar.
Today we need to change our minds, because the world system tells us that there is time for everything; there is the time for everything except time for God.
Today we have a society that has everything, but the most important aspect is lacking: the Presence of God.
In typical marriages, people have all the comforts of life: nice cars, nice homes, and just about every form of material item people need. However, their comfortable and busy lifestyles seldom lead them to make time for God.
Consequently, we see more and more broken marriages; we see the children living with many crises and a broken society.
All of these regressions in society lead to the conclusion that the god of this era is the god of pleasure, comfort, and entertainment, all leading to the present realities of high divorce rates, crime, drugs, sexual abuse, perversion, etc.
All of these curses result when we make no room for God in our lives and daily affairs.
I am not saying that it is bad to have a beautiful home, nice cars, etc.
Rather, it is a problem that because of those things we allow that our altar becomes ruined or is neglected, which eventually leads to a ruined relationship with God.
God is making a wake-up call to all his people and we must understand that there are things that are not necessarily sinful but they do have the potential to cause separation of an intimate relationship with our creator.
The various nice items in this world are not necessarily bad nor sinful, such as the television, the computer, the cell-phone, the good house and cars, recreational activities such as fishing, etc.
However, when you allow these things to separate your closeness from God, then these worldly things become a problem not only to your relationship with God but also to your relationship with your family.
The Spirit of the Lord spoke to me and told me that this is the time in which every Christian has to repair his altar and his communion with Him. Beloved friend, by reading this newsletter. I wish to tell you that God is jealous of all things that separate you from His presence, and He desires to have fellowship and communion with you.
God is waiting for you just like a father waits for his son. The God who created the heavens and the earth is the same God who desires to have an appointment with you at this exact moment where you are right now, in your bedroom or living room.
God desires for you to do away with those things that separate you from His presence, and to come to his place where He has an altar waiting for you, an altar where God desires to manifest His glory in your life.
This is your time, this is your hour, and do not let it slip away from you, for this divine calling is here for you.
